How many "task managers" and to do apps have we all tried by now? Yup, I know..... The "Purchased" section of my App Store app is littered with them too. And depending on what I need to "manage", I use a happy few with some regularity.
TASK is different. I use it every day. It puts simple order in my day. Perhaps because of the layout, you can clearly see your path ahead, as well as cast a look over your shoulder at whats gotten done already. But its one-pointed. You can see the map of the territory ahead, and move into it.
I dont know about anyone else, but the plan & order of my days and what I need to get done dont usually go along with the precision of an atomic clock. Stuff gets moved around, modified, put off a bit....sometimes..... TASK handles every hairpin turn so smoothly, so easily. With a few easy swipes or gestures its all rearranged. No stress, no strain. Check a date (a cool accordion calendar unfolds), set a reminder with a couple of taps, make a crucial item stand out in bold type - one tap, edit or move items – tap, no problem. Its a pleasure to use, AND a powerful organizing tool. And you can even change the color scheme. No matter how complex at other levels, at its heart, genius is always simplicity: the paring away of the extraneous to reveal the pure, simple line Nature had in mind for perfection. Hats off to the simple perfection of TASK.
